Breeding Sheep

For over 120 years Clitheroe Auction Mart has been renowned for its comprehensive programme of Catalogue Auctions for Breeding Sheep and Rams from late July to the climax of Old Fair and 2nd Old Fair in late October/November.

The Catalogues include all breeds familiar to the upland farms of East Lancashire, the Bowland Fells, Saddleworth and N. Derbyshire.

Dates of each sale may be found on the website calendar together with entry forms. Otherwise contact Reception for further information or to discuss entry with the Auctioneers.

Ewes with Lambs

Every Spring Ewes with Lambs at Foot are to be sold on Tuesday after Primestock. Contact the Auctioneer for next available sale.

Store Lambs

Sales of Store Lambs will be held weekly on Tuesdays prior to Prime Stock

Important Notes

Farmers are encouraged to register entry of store lambs for advertising and to be entered in the ballot by by 12 Noon on the Thursday prior to the Sale.
Entries will also also be accepted on the day.
