NEWS Poultry, Waterfowl & Other Captive Birds New Guidelines have been put in place by the government with regards to Bird Keepers (including birds keep as pets) and the selling of Poultry, Waterfowl and other Captive Birds. In order for us to sell the Birds the new guidelines need to be met and are as follows:- Sellers must be registered with the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) on the GB Poultry Register and Clitheroe Auction must be provided with evidence of registration along with the entries. Any entry without evidence of registration can NOT be accepted. Sellers must declare that their birds do not originate from premises or areas which are under restrictions related to confirmation of notifiable avian disease. A declaration is on our entry form and must be signed. All birds arriving at our sale must remain isolated from any other birds on site until each bird has been inspected.
